2012 10 | October Letter to the Brethren

Fraternal Greetings Brethren,

Fall is here and with it, all the fun of the Football Season and tailgating. Yet as we enjoy some wings, a Hot Dog and cold refreshment let’s not forget about those less fortunate who are just hoping to have enough to feed their kids something… anything… for dinner.  The nights are even longer and colder on an empty belly. Once again it’s time for me to appeal to you to bring a little something extra to the Lodge at our next communication on October 8th. To make it more fun, I’ll once again be awarding the famous Masonic Bobblehead Doll to one lucky random winner who brings in a donation for the Food Pantry.

Not only that, but I’ll also chip in two tickets to the Patriots Away Game Viewing Event at Patriots Stadium on October 14th- (Pats vs. Seahawks) for the top donation of the evening! The Patriot event will include free snacks and non-alcoholic beverages as well as appearances by the Patriot Cheerleaders and other Patriot Alumni. Not to mention watching the game with other rabid Fans on Giant TVs and Jumbo-Trons!

What do you say? Can you find it within yourself to “help others less fortunate especially when it’s within your power to help them without inconvenience to yourself?” Sure you can!

Congratulations to our newest Master Mason, Br. Gregory W. Wood who was raised last month.  I would like to thank all the officers for their fine work.

Also at this October Communication we’ll be welcoming the DDGM for his Official Visit as well as doing First Degree Work on a new worthy fellow.

So stop on by, come see how beautifully the Lodge has been fixed up and share an evening with your Brothers!  And don’t forget to bring some food for a chance at the two tickets!

Finally I want to again extend my personal congratulation to R.W. James E. Carroll who, on September 15, received Masonries highest honor the Joseph Warren medal for his outstanding service to the Craft.  This honor is well deserved and we are fortunate to have him as a member of Saint Alban’s.

W. Tom
