From the East

Greetings from the East, I hope the Holidays have found the Brethren well.

December came and went like a whirlwind and here comes 2015.  I would like to send a very special Thank You to all of the brethren that took a few hours out of their day to help continue the tradition of honoring our widows with Poinsettias.  We had an overwhelming number of hands to help deliver; I am very pleased to see so many brothers getting together to support the fraternity.

At our December meeting, we continued on the tradition set by Worshipful Schulhause and hosted the 2014 Annual Pie Contest.  It was very stiff competition this year and our very own Secretary, Worshipful James Haskell, took the win with a very delicious Apple Pie.  The contest brought in $110 dollars from competitors and samplers.  The winner donated all of the winnings back to the pot which has been set aside to go towards funding this year’s Saint Alban’s Scholarship which will be award to one Foxboro Senior High School student.  Thank you Worshipful Haskell for that contribution and thank you to all that attended.

My vision for 2015 continues to be on strengthening our Brotherhood.  We will be bringing back successful events, which we had years past, and hope to continue the tradition and start new ones moving forward.  The Hockey Night at the Providence Bruins has been set for January 30th (see page 3 of the notice for more information).   The 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off is planned for one of the colder months to come.  This Spring will bring Square & Compass day, a Paw Sox Game (Great seats last year!), and Founder’s Day.  If any brother would like to offer suggestions or put together another event, please let me know.  The more events the better!

While moving into 2015, we do not have any potential candidates for the degrees.  If anyone knows those potential candidates who seek light in Masonry, please, invite them to a dinner or one of our events.

Lastly, as Friendship and Brotherly Love are valued tenants of our institution, on behave of our officers and all active members of the lodge; we would like to see each and every one of you at our communications and events.  If anyone is ever in need of a ride, please reach out to me, officers, or any other brother.  We want to see you!  My cell phone number is 774-266-0216 or I can be reached at the email address:
